PHOTO BY LANCE ATCHISON, TAKEN AT JIM CURRY’S CONCERT IN ASPEN, CO, OCTOBER 2007.

When I look at this picture, I think of the many talents represented by one simple photo:
I see the talent of the photographer, who captured this moment,
I see the talent of the craftsman who created this beautiful instrument.
I see the talent of the artist (John Denver) whose image is inlayed in the ebony fret board
And I see the talent of the artist holding the instrument, The great John Stewart, whose songs, along with John Denver’s, will be remembered for all time.
I remember on this day, the day the photo was taken, John Stewart got up in front of the audience and told the story of how he decided to become a songwriter, and on one particularly non-productive day he said to himself, “I worked all day long and I’ve only written one song!” Well, that song was titled “Daydream Believer” and became a hit song all over the world, bigger than John could have ever imagined.
John Stewart didn’t know at first that “Daydream Believer” would be a hit song, just as I, at first, didn’t appreciate the deeper meaning in this photo. Talent takes time to recognize, it takes time to develop. The level of talent you see in this one simple photo also takes faith, determination and a life-long dedication to the art that it represents.
Thanks to Lance Atchison, at New Vista Enterprises for taking this photo and creating this memory.

12/14/2011  2011 was a very busy year for us here with New Vista Enterprises.  Setting up business in the Dominican Republic, shooting concerts all over the western United States and caring for the commercial photography needs of our many clients in Nevada and California.  The Pro Bull Riders Championships this October in Las Vegas was a major success.  You can see many of our pictures at www.pbr.com..  The World Series Of Poker at the Rio Hotel / Casino in Las Vegas was overwhelming - it just gets bigger every year.  We are gearing up for NASCAR in March and we thank Canon for sponsoring us with all of the latest Canon Digital Cameras for the event.  A big THANK YOU to my business partner, videographer and Chief Pilot Jeff Wilson.  This last year we have gone places with the helicopter that stagger the imagination.  Keep the engine running Jeff - lots more to come.  Cheryl and I look forward to 2012 with plans for lots of traveling, flying and photography.  See you at NASCAR!

01/19/2011  The last week of January 2011 we will be working in the Carribean again.  This time it is the Dominican Republic.  We will be posting some of our aerial and ground shots of the island for your enjoyment. NASCAR is coming up quickly and we are ready to go!  Jeff will be shooting video and I will be doing digital still shots for Royal Sports Magazine.  We thank Canon for sponsoring us again this year.  All images will be shot with Canon camera equipment - the finest photography equipment in the world.  See you at the races March 4-6 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

6/1/10  The World Series Of Poker is back for 2010!  The Rio Hotel/Casino is buzzing with activity and getting ready for more than 80,000 entrants.  In 1982 there were only 1,253 entrants at the old Binion's Horseshoe event.  Now it is a major draw with contestants from literally all over the world.  Our credentials are in place, cameras are 'at the ready' and we are excited to start shooting images of some of the world's most awesome poker players.  As official photographers for the World Series Of Poker we want to thank the Rio for hosting this event now and for many years to come.  Look for our pictures in Poker Player Magazine (Las Vegas) and Royal Poker Magazine (Canada) in the months to come.

1/6/10  We are gearing up for NASCAR!  This will be an exciting series of races with the NASCAR feature race on Sunday, February 28th. at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.  Time trials and Sprint Car races are on Friday and Saturday before the feature race on Sunday.  We want to thank our sponsor 'CANON' for providing us with all of the latest digital camera equipment for the race and use by our company throughout the year.  See you at the races February 26 - 28, 2010!

10/21/09  Our town will fill up with cowboy hats this week.  That’s right, the Professional Bull Riders are in town for the World Championships at the Thomas & Mack Center.  This event is always explosive and fun to photograph.  We get down and dirty with the bulls and the riders right there in the arena.  We are proud to be official photographers for the PBR again this year.  Watch for our pictures at www.pbr.com.

10/1/09  Cheryl and I are off to Aspen, Colorado this month to shoot the John Denver Tribute at the Wheeler Oprah House.  All of John's old band members will be there.  Aspen is our 'home in the mountains' - this time of year you can see the handy-work of the Master's paint brush.  All the trees are changing and re-arranging.  Right after the concert in Aspen we have to rush back to Vegas for the Pro Bull Riders Championships....  work work work!  We are proud to be official photographers for the PBR.  Check out some of our pics at www.PBR.com.
